Spaghetti Cacio E Cepe⚓︎

Based on Chrissy Teigen Cravings, pg. 78

  • 1/2 box of Spaghetti
  • 1/4 lb pancetta, diced
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1.5 & 1/2 cups Parmesan, grated and divided
  • 3 cups baby arugula


  • Start a large pot of water to boil and prep the cheese, garlic, and lemon juice.
  • Crisp the pancetta for 7-9 minutes in a large skillet at medium-high heat. In parallel, boil the spaghetti (10 minutes).
  • Add the Olive Oil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 min. Set aside a small cup of pasta water.
  • Combine the lemon juice, spaghetti, and Parmesan cheese. Add a small amount of pasta water as needed to help melt the cheese.
  • Add the baby arugula and allow to wilt for 2 minutes.
